Summary: AeroDefense has launched a no-cost drone detection for law enforcement access program exclusively for AirWarden® Essentials customers. The initiative enables participating sites to securely share real-time and historical drone data with State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) as well as federal agencies. By removing cost barriers, the program strengthens coordination, investigations, and shared situational awareness.
AeroDefense has announced a new initiative advancing drone detection for law enforcement through its AirWarden Essentials platform.
The no-cost access program enables AirWarden Essentials customers to share system access with public safety partners - including State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial agencies, as well as federal partners such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation - at no additional cost to any party.
The program applies exclusively to participating AirWarden Essentials deployments.
As unauthorized drone activity increases around critical infrastructure, campuses, and public venues, the gap between private security teams and responding officers must be closed. AeroDefense’s no-cost access program lets AirWarden® Essentials customers provide law enforcement agencies direct access to their detection system.
By enabling this collaborative visibility into real-time drone and pilot locations, AeroDefense transforms isolated data into a shared operating picture that supports:
Airspace visibility is no longer a luxury—it is a critical layer of modern security strategy that works best when stakeholders and law enforcement work together.
Through secure access to AirWarden Essentials at participating sites, authorized officers can:
AirWarden Essentials is AeroDefense’s wide-area drone detection solution designed to deliver scalable and cost-effective airspace awareness.
Launched in January 2025, the system is deployed across:
The initiative reflects AeroDefense’s long-standing commitment to public safety and cross-jurisdictional collaboration. It builds on the company’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract with the United States Air Force to develop a Collaborative Drone Detection Network (CoDDN), designed to enable shared airspace awareness across organizations and jurisdictions.
“Law enforcement plays a critical role in protecting communities, and we stand alongside them,” said Linda Ziemba, Founding CEO of AeroDefense. “This program is about removing barriers so agencies - from local police to federal partners like DHS and the FBI - have the visibility and support they need to respond confidently and work in step with the organizations they serve.”
Drone detection for law enforcement is most effective when visibility is shared. By eliminating cost barriers within participating deployments, AeroDefense strengthens coordination between site operators and the agencies responsible for public safety.
